A.P.E. offers a wide variety of custom service and upgrade packages for all of its manufactured rework equipment line. A.P.E. support staff strongly recommends that your rework station be periodically checked for optical alignment and thermal calibration. While these machines are designed for depot enviroments your machine can benefit from yearly check-ups to make sure that it is operating to factory specs.
A.P.E. strives to provide the highest level of personalized service available. We also offer highly informative training classes to familarize the users with the operation of there rework stations. Service quotes upon request.
Service Contracts
Tier 1 Products: Contract Period One Year (12 months) Sniper Series and Widebody
- Initial machine assessment, cleaning and calibration (optical and thermal) of machine.
- Additional calibration six months later
- Parts covered free of charge for any failure in the machine, with expidited delivery
(excluding operator neglect, acts of nature, etc.)
- Top priority, emergency service
- Free nozzle exchange during warranty
- Consumables packages supplied at commencement of contract and again six months into contract period containing:
-Flux syringes 8 pack of 5cc (8200-1310)
-Vacuum cups – assortment (8100-1330)
-Wetting solution 6, 1oz. bottles (8200-1330)
Tier 2 Products: Intruder, Bandit, and Flowmaster
- Initial machine assessment, cleaning and calibration (optical and thermal) of machine
- Additional calibration six months later
- Parts covered free of charge for any failure in the machine, with expedited delivery
(excluding operator neglect, acts of nature, etc.)
- Top priority, emergency services
- Free nozzle exchange during warranty

- Initial Calibration of machine
- Warranty of Parts
- Expedite shipping 1 way Return Only (Fed EX 2nd day saver)
- Custom Packaged Return box shipping machine back safely
- In-house labor covered
- 24 hour turnaround for service
- Free Nozzle exchange during warranty
- Consumables package delivered every six months containing:
-Flux syringes 8 pack of 5cc (8200-1310)
-Vacuum Cups – assortment (8100-0003A)
-Wetting Solution 6, 1oz. bottles (8200-1330)
Out of Warranty Service
Tier 1 Products: Sniper I, Sniper II, Sniper III, and Sniper Wide Body
- Three (3) hour minimum on service calls. Service call will be made within a few weeks.
- Emergency service 48 hour turn around time. Emergency service cost can be applied to
service contract. (Contact factory for more details)
Tier 2 Products: Intruder, Bandit, and Flomaster II
- Two (2) hour minimum on service calls. Service call will be made in a few weeks.
- Emergency service 48 hour turn around time. This amount can be applied to a service contract.
Tier 3 Products: Chipper, Chipmaster, and Flomaster
- One (1) hour minimum on repairs. Customer will see equipment back in 2-3 weeks if shipped to
Florida.
- No emergency service calls. Shipment of product to our facility is a $75.00 hourly fee for repair.
- Shipping is approximetly $110.00. There is a $70.00 box charge for shipping the item back in
the correct packaging, in addition to the $110.00. APE will provide a 24 hour turn around for an
additional $250.00 if shipped to Key Largo, FL location.
Lead Free Upgrade
Chipmaster Upgrade to Lead Free:
Machine must be a 1996 model or later
- Controller 8100-0114
- Service time 1 hour
- Calibration of machine
- Custom Packaged Return box of shipped to FL location
Chipmaster Upgrade to Lead Free Refurbishing machine:
Machine must be a 1996 model or later
- Custom Packaged Return box if shipped to FL location
- Heater 8100-0200
- Thermocouple 8100-0200
- Vacuum Cups Assortment 8100-0003A
Chipmaster Upgrade to Lead Free Refurbished Machine with Dragon Preheat:
Machine must be a 1996 model or later
*Strongly recommended for doing lead free work with a Chipmaster machine.
**Highly recommended for boards over four layers.
